Divine Right of CEOs#
This document studies the current American economic system and seeks ways to improve it. Large American corporations are not unlike little national states with huge resources at their disposal and vast wealth. The CEOs and other leaders of the corporations are admired and praised for their great wisdom, abilities, and accomplishments.
However, the American economic system has significant shortcomings. Throughout America many people are either poor or have insufficient wealth despite being willing and able to work. Many people are unemployed, under employed, or low paid. This document studies ways in which the American economic system can better provide for the common Americans.
To use an automotive analogy, The American economic system is a piece of junk. What we have is a broken down 1908 Model T Ford. What we want and need is a brand new Toyota Camry.
